Another highlight is the ALPEN OPTICS premium LPE (Lotus Pearl Effect) lens coating, which ensures that water droplets drip off the lenses and wash away dirt during rainy weather.

Unlike the standard BK-7, the optics are made from BaK-4 glass (barium crown glass) that produces even sharper and brighter images. The high-quality BaK-4 glass optics are used in all ALPEN Optics products sold in Europe.
