The next generation high-speed camera for planetary and deep sky photography
The Touptek 2300KPA is a highly sensitive camera for video astronomy and deep-sky images. Sharply detailed planetary images are possible thanks to a new Sony CMOS sensor. Galaxies and nebulae can be seen with this camera after only a few seconds of exposure time. You do not even need to align your mount completely accurately. "Astrophotography has never been so easy!"
The advantages in a nutshell:
- highly sensitive CMOS IMX185 sensor
- for telescopes with focal lengths between 500mm and 800mm
- fast image transfer: 90 frames per second
- no clutter: only one USB 3.0 cable required - does not need an additional power supply
- software: CD-Rom with image recording software and drivers for Win 7/8/10
- C-mount connection
- safely protected in a rugged metal casing
90fps: sharp planetary images thanks to the high speed
What do a camera and a freezer have in common? Simple - this camera acquires images so rapidly that the seeing simply has no chance. It is simply frozen. The big advantage is that this technique means you catch the moments of perfectly still air. Your planetary images are hence particularly sharp. The Touptek camera transmits up to 90 frames per second. This frame rate is perceived by the human like a film.
You might be wondering whether planets are still bright enough at this high frame rate? The answer is yes - thanks to the newly developed sensor.
The heart of the camera - the CMOS sensor
Highly sensitive - optical window of 350-1050 nm
The new CMOS IMX185 image sensor from Sony is highly sensitive, with a wide spectral range of 350-1050nm. This means that, in addition to visible light, you have the chance of exploring the infrared range. This range is more sensitive compared to many other sensors.
Extremely low noise for better images
One particular advantage is an extremely low readout noise of less than RMS 3.3e-. This means that the number of noise pixels is reduced to a minimum. Image information is no longer lost. Your astronomy photos will have a noise-free black background and hence your astronomical subjects will look simply beautiful.
Ideal for small to medium focal lengths
The sensor has a chip size of 1950x1200 pixels, with a pixel size of 3.75x3.75 microns. This means the camera is ideally suited for use with telescopes of between 500 and 800mm focal length.
Included in the package - image acquisition and image editing software
Extensive software is included - with virtually everything an astrophotographer could wish for:
- Live Image function
- exposure settings
- histogram
- image acquisition and video functions
- automatic Dark Subtraction
- time-lapse image acquisition
