The colour camera for lunar and planetary photography - ideal for beginners!
Simply insert the NexImage camera into the focuser instead of a 1.25" eyepiece and connect it to your laptop with the USB 2.0 cable. The camera sensor will then deliver high-resolution images of, for example, the Moon, and is also sensitive enough to reveal details on Jupiter and Saturn. A user-friendly software suite from Celestron (for Windows only) is also included, allowing you to get started right away.
Planetary photography works by a stacking process as follows - align your telescope on the Moon or on a planet and take a short video. The software will then analyse each frame, reject those that are blurred, and stacks the good ones together. The result is a bright, clear image with the best possible colour and detail.
Planetary imaging, especially in light polluted areas, is an interesting topic - If you can see the planet in the night sky, you can shoot it with using NexImage and your telescope!
